Top recommended hotels to stay in Manila this 2018

The word Staycation has been clinging around the travelers to do list and has marked its worth in the world of travel industry. I wanted to keep you guys updated with this trend and went around Manila for quite some time now. For almost six (6) productive months, I’ve been staying at these hotels (Three days and two nights for some … five days and four nights for the others.) and have been reviewing their services, food and accommodation one by one. On this blog post you’ll find the list of the top recommended hotels to stay in Manila for your ultimate dream staycation. The list provides the carefully chosen highlights of my stay and the features of the hotel which I find unique and an artsy ingredient that may complete the recipe for your delish trip.

  1. Eastwood Richmonde Hotel


Lobby: This hotel is known for it’s European touch and glamorous lobby entrance resembling 5 star hotels (However, accommodations are way cheaper and more affordable compared to high-end hotels, what I’m actually pointing out here is that, in Eastwood Richmonde hotel you’ll get a five star experiential stay for a much reasonable price.)

Attraction: This hotel is also famous for it’s staircase connecting the hotel to Eastwood mall, giving each guests the feeling and an elegant illusion of having a mall inside their hotel.

Room(s): Rooms here are quite elegant with reasonable prices and spacious compared to other luxury hotels. Complete with toiletries and hygiene kit. A view of the metro world from each room can also be provided by this hotel *depending on booked room locations* Highly recommended for people who care most about the aesthetics, I’m referring to instagrammers, bloggers, curators and alike. Bonus : With FREE Wi-Fi Internet Access.

Bathroom with Bathtub : Equipped with  hot and cold shower plus bath tub, which happens to be my favorite part of every staycation.

Food and beverage: Richmonde hotels are actually known for its excellent dishes and their signature ensaymada . What’s unique about Eastwood Richmonde hotel is their humongous dining area where guests would have their breakfast buffets and such.

2. Belmont Hotel Manila



Spacious and elegant. The hotel Cafe is also found near the reception area and the concierge. Staff were really friendly and welcomes guests like family. Belmont is like a home away from home.


What’s unique about Belmont Hotel Manila is  it’s location. You can actually take a five (5) min. walk from Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s  (NAIA) Terminal 3 via the runway Manila footbridge to the hotel.

Also, you may enjoy the gorgeous view of the Metro Manila skyline as you take your walk across to the hotel.

The room(s) at Belmont may not be as huge and spacious than other lux hotels, however the ambiance gives a homelike aura in a business environment. A view of the airport and the planes taking off and arriving each day can be seen through the elegant glass windows of each room *depending on the position of the available room*

Complete hygiene kits and toiletries. Provided with a hair dryer, elegant mirrors which allows guests to be extra vain during their stay. 😂 Also a hot and cold shower separated by tempered glass walls can be found inside the bathroom.

Food and beverage:

Magnificent team and excellent service! One of the most amazing buffet I’ve had. The food was great, staff and the rest of the food and beverage team were exceptional and entertaining too which obviously made their guests happier.

3. Hotel 101 Manila


Lobby: Minimalist combined with modern elegant approach.

Huge and spacious with busy environment, best for business travelers and alike.

Hotel Cafe found on the ground floor near the reception area.


The second floor composes of the outdoor swimming pool, kiddie pool, and Jacuzzi, which opens to the famous Manila bay sunset.


21-square meter room(s). Designed in a minimalist modern approach, their rooms will let you find comfort and experience radiant ambiance, perfect for both leisure and business travels.

4. Hotel Jen Manila

International and domestic airports are only 20 minutes away, 30 minutes to the Makati Business District, and the Malate entertainment district is only a short walk away.


Windows by the Bay – the exclusive lounge, with amazing sunset views of Manila Bay at the 19th floor, which offers a wide selection of light bites, cocktails and wines for you to enjoy as well.

I was given an executive suite during my stay here at Hotel Jen Manila. The Executive room is composed of a sitting room, dining area and open work space – plus Club Lounge perks.

The room has impressive views over Manila Bay and Manila Yacht Club or Roxas Boulevard. Separate living area, bedroom and walk-in closet. Free access to the Club Lounge and its perks. With all honesty, this hotel is serious when they mentioned comfy , Hotel Jen by far has comfiest cloud-like king-size bed.

 Adding luxury to your stay, the room is equipped with blissful rain forest (hot and cold) shower. Bathtub, toiletries, hairdryer and iron.

6. Jinjiang Inn Ortigas


Lobby: Compact, cozy, neat and modern. These are few of the many attributes which may describe the hotel lobby of Jinjiang Inn Ortigas.

Attraction: Empathetic staff honoring true service. Genuine Filipino hospitality that made me want to come back soon. I’ve talked about this on my previous Jinjiang Inn Ortigas hotel review, and this I must say is one of the various attractions found in this hotel.

Spacious Accommodations. I was given the Montparnasse Suite which was named after the Montparnasse district in Paris, the favored haunt of artists like Picasso. 88 sqm Montparnasse Suite(s) are in the colors of dark beige, royal blue, red, and gray. Located on the 6th to 9th floors.

Suites are equipped with a king bed setup, dining/study area, balcony, mini bar, and a kitchenette.
