CASA San Miguel Zambales – Bed, food, art and music in a nutshell

I’ve recently spent a quick trip to Luzon and found myself attending one the most genuine and magical wedding of the year.

Last February 10, 2018 my travel blogger friends Carla Araniego- Sangoyo also known online as the BlissfulGuro  and Christian Sangoyo of the well-known Lakadpilipinas.com had their wedding at the heavenly forest of Zambales — CASA San Miguel.

I fell in love with CASA’s enchanted atmosphere stirring me to compose and blog about it today. CASA is short for Creative Alternatives for Social Action. A scenic mango orchard tucked like a chocolate box, squeeze in between mountains and the sea. It was said that CASA came to be when a family of artists converted their ancestral home and its surroundings into the province’s artistic center.

The Virtual Tour

Bed and Breakfast

Room available for group booking, best and highly recommended for family trips and barkada getaway.

Complete with bathroom towels, toiletries, hygiene kits, with hot and cold shower plus bidet.

The Bed and Breakfast also offers package tours to nearby beach islands Anawangin, Capones, Camara and to the Nagsasa Falls. What I love about this place is the fact that there are only a few rooms available, this makes the experience intimate and exclusive, away from crowded accommodations.

The Restaurant: Backstage Café

The restaurant oozes a delightful environment shaped by the wide-ranging furnishings, portraits and wood-carved details, not to mention the unlimited coffee available to all in-house guests. Dining there honestly felt like a scene from the movie Beauty and the beast came to life.

When the evening comes, the outdoor dining area is lit tenderly with candles and strings of lanterns and little light bulbs hanging from above, constructing the feeling of being at an old-fashioned garden party in the yard. The trees twinkle with lights as well, only resembled by the stars that shine in the clear night sky.

The food is treated as art here. Scan along for some photos I took during our stay.

There is Zambaleños Pizza, a crisp brick-oven pizza creation unique from any other pizza because of the raw egg, chili leaves and Zambales longganiza recipe.

Anita Magsaysay Ho Gallery Museum can also be found inside CASA. Check the photos below to get a glimse of how magnificent and majestic this place can be.

Center for the Arts in San Antonio or CASA, is a project of violinist Coke Bolipata, has been a pillar of art and music in San Antonio, Zambales.

CASA stretches out to the community by nurturing a love for music among the children of farmers and fisher folk.

CASA San Miguel endures to progress as a tourist destination and business, however the group always goes back to its ultimate purpose. The profits from the Bed and Breakfast and its restaurants helps the organization become autonomous and sustainable, to be capable of training and nurturing more generations of young musicians.

Safe to say CASA is where you’ll find the perfect mixture of bed, food, art and music in a nutshell. The concept is dazzling with excellence I can’t help but give you all a virtual tour through this blog entry, with a hope that you’ll spread the word and give this captivating place a try someday or maybe this summer.
