I took a picture of my breakfast that day too! We had our breakfast at the Buaya beach.

How to get here?

1. BY AIR ( From Manila or other domestic destination to Roxas / Iloilo )

Fly from any domestic city to Roxas City or Iloilo City Airport via commercial flights.

Roxas/Iloilo City: 48 min- 1 hr.

Tip: I suggest you fly from any domestic destination in the Philippines to Roxas instead of Iloilo. Roxas City is much closer to get to Estancia Port where you can rent a boat to take you to Sicogon.

2. BY LAND ( From Roxas City or Iloilo City – Estancia Port)

Take a private van or the public bus from Roxas or Iloilo City to Estancia (PPA Port).

Roxas City to PPA Port, Estancia: 1 ½ hrs.

Iloilo City to PPA Port, Estancia: 2 ½ hrs.

3. BY BOAT ( From PPA Port , Estancia Port -Sicogon)

Take the designated boats from PPA Port, Estancia to Sicogon Island

  • Passenger boat to Sicogon port : 45-65 PHP/head ( 30 PHP Senior citizen) *available until 12 noon only*
  • Private Pump boat: 1,500 (one way) and 3,500 (back and forth)

PPA Port to Sicogon Island:

45 mins. – 1 hr. via pump boat

In case you arrive late in the afternoon here’s an alternative way

  1. From Estancia Port via pump boat you may be dropped by San Fernando port- Sicogon, where motorbikes for hire are found.
  2. In Sicogon Island, everyone gets around by motorbike. So don’t be surprised if Manong would ask you to ride his single motorbike and hop on so you could reach Buaya beach. Here you have to pay 50 PHP / head.
  3. This Motorbike ride will take you directly to Buaya beach.
  4. From Buaya Beach you may walk your way to Balay Kogon resort or your chosen budget beach tents on the other side of the island.
