Painting sunsets on my birthday

March 18, 1993 — The day I was born. Twenty five years later and here I am still breathing and living my life in the best way I can.

March 18, 2018 — Another year granted by our dear Creator. Grateful and blessed enough I chose to spend my birthday this year with no balloons nor an extravagant party , with my job asking me to be glued on my phone the whole time plus my busy schedule here and there, I’m honestly looking forward to a much simplier celebration. So this March 18 I chose to spend it in private. A much needed quality time with my family at Injap Tower Hotel Iloilo. It was one of the most emotional and beautiful celebration I’ve had.

During our two nights and three days at the tower , we did nothing but create deeper conversations which lead us to share stories about ourselves we often forget to tell eachother during our usual busy days.

Painting Sunsets

We painted sunsets together and had photo shoots on top of the tower (Injap Helipad). Too bad this isn’t open for public use anymore and was only available upon special request. I was just lucky to convince the management that day. Here are some of the mesmerizing photos we took during our visit at the helipad.

Every morning I try to come up the 21st floor to get my favorite Barako coffee and find a seat where I’d be able to see the view of Iloilo city. Eating breakfast at Horizon Cafe is really something any tourist would look forward to, not just because of the stunning view brought by the humongous glass surrounding the whole cafe, giving each visitor the best view of the city, but also because of its great food and awesome service. What I can highly recommend here is their unlimited barako coffee paired with their Filipino themed buffet breakfast. You may check my instagram and click the highlight HOTEL section to get a glimpse of our stay here to.

The Happy room

The Happy room was indeed made with love making each guest feel home and special.

A view of the city can also be seen inside the room.

Lately I’ve been in to sunsets and golden hour shots, here’s one of the many photos I took during my stay during my favorite time of the day ;)

We also tried other activities that may be done when staying at Injap hotel. One of which was swimming at the indoor pool. Below are my favorite shots taken around 6PM highlighting the real life sunset filter at the 5th floor where you may find the pool. 💛 (Yes, I’m obsessed with sunsets.)

My sister also tried the foot and hand reflexology at Spa Circle ⭕️. According to her it was one of a kind and worth every penny.

Ending this blog entry with a few things I would like to tell the world.

With my fast paced life and a job requiring me to travel here and there it seems impossible for me to notice the little things anymore, but here’s the thing—I do appreciate the little things. In fact, I personally believe these stuff count the most. Sunsets are pretty, but spending it with our loved ones makes it even more special. Waking up the next day might look normal for the many, but actually serves as a miracle if you’d look a little bit deeper into it. The whole environment of Injap tower hotel has a strong vibe of connecting their guests to the world. This stay made me appreciate my life even more making my birthday even more precious than how I expected it to be.

So before I end this post, I’d like you all to sit comfortably with your eyes closed. Breathe deeply for a few minutes, in through your nose and out through pursed lips. Picture yourself in front of a beautiful sunset. Focus on your senses and breathe once more before finally opening your eyes.

What did you feel?

Appreciate the small things so you may successfully see the bigger picture. Have a great day all! Thank you so much for reading my birthday staycation. See you on my next blog entry!

Love,

Levy Amosin
