Vogue Italia’s Talent ft. at ‘Belle’ Fashion Show

April 26, 2018 . ‘Belle’ Fashion show by Italian Chamber of the Philippines and Belmont Hotel Manila happened. It was one of the most magical moments of my life and was honestly my first attendance to a fashion show to date.

I’ve been traveling in style since four (4) years old and I couldn’t contain my excitement when I first heard about ‘Belle’ Fashion Show. I even do believe that getting an invite as an official media partner for such prestigious event is a milestone. I mean its not everyday that we get to see the stunning creations of Vogue Italia’s Talent designer and showcase it in front of us.
Feature it and meet beautiful people from the hotel, fashion and creative society.

The Venue

The venue was set at an outdoor rooftop pool and bar lounge of Belmont Hotel Manila. A brilliant idea of fashion and summer fusion vibe — a fashion runway on top of the pool with food servings amazing cocktails were available throughout the whole event. We all know I love wine and indeed the night was overflowing with it.

“Whiskey and ice, sunset and vine.” – A Taylor Swift lyrics, from the song ‘Gorgeous’ was the exact ambiance felt during the whole event. The venue was stunning, classy, sexy and stylish.

The Featured Designer

Vogue Italia’s Talent Ched Dalogaog (Ched Studio). This Spring/Summer 18 season, Ched Studio presented their collection at Bench Fashion Week, part of the Bench Fashion Awards, Lao Fashion Week and represented the Philippines at Pitti Immagine Super for Super Talents in collaboration with Vogue Italia’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief and head of Vogue Talents, Sara Maino during Milan Fashion Week.

During the fashion show I discovered more about Ched Studio’s success story and witnessed the classy and extraordinary garment collections showcased in Milan Fashion Week. What a night of fashion and style indeed.

The Program

Everything began smoothly as the ‘Black tie Band’ serenaded the audience with their music. It was then followed by the introduction of speakers for Industria Creativa Philippines by Mr. Lorenz Ziller ICCPI Executive Director and Vice Chair, Infrastructure and transport committee of the EU-Philippines Business Network.

The speakers that night were serious about promoting local fashion brands in the country and discussed a few details about the importance of the promotion of creative industries in the Philippines as discussed by Ms. Maria Rita Matute (Executive Director, Design of the Philippines). While Mr. Fidel Ventura the Business Outreach Officer of EU- Philippines Business Network talked about The EPBN Project: Encouraging EU investment in the Philippines. Mr. Fabio Dalai (Sales, Olip Italia SpA) also talked about the creative show collection of Olip Italia SpA.

‘Belle’ Fashion Show

‘Belle’ Fashion show featured Vogue Italia’s Talent —Ched Studio and showcased Spring Summer collection at the runway pool. A smart concept of merging fashion and balancing the heat by setting up the runway at the pool. The whole place was embraced the glamorous lights from the sunset, adding glitters to the twinkling eyes of the people who attended the event.

I was observing the crowd, while being entertained by the scenic moments brought by the models and Ched Studio’s creations. I saw how the crowd were extremely astonished by the stylish garments worn by the good looking models.

‘Singing sensation’ was also invited to perform that night and did one straight performance, which eventually made some of the visitors dance to every beat of their music. It was indeed one great show. Applauded —these three beautiful ladies left the runway stage and the afterparty was announced.

A lot of the visitors stayed, a mixture of foreign and locals I’m sure had the time of their lives. Overflowing drinks at the pool bar were continuously served, mojito, wine, whiskey name it and you shall have it straight in the palm of your hands.

I stayed for a little while and had a few shares of intellectual conversations with Belmont Hotel managers, met Mr. Johann Villanueva and had some catching up with Mr. Jowie Guillar whom I once met when I had my first collaboration with Belmont last September 2017. We were having so much fun that I forgot about the time. We ended the party around 2 AM.

I went back to my room dancing and had the wine singing with me. To sum it all up, the event was a complete success! I must insist that if all fashion shows would be this entertaining and successful, it will surely make noise around social media and in the various parts of the hotel and fashion industries.

I want to end this entry by encouraging you guys to attend and support events like this real soon or you’ll be missing out. Fashion Shows indeed are stunning and luxurious in a way,
however these kind of shows also does give the creative society a way to breathe and express their heart through their carefully curated garment collections. As someone who does love both fashion and travel I would strongly recommend you all to attend one. Participate and discover more about your self, your love for fashion and the world.
